At the initiative of Aldo van der Laan, owner/managing director of the Zwanenberg group, Rogier Braakman, managing director of the Sandton Hotel chain in Europe and dr. Jelle Braaksma, former director of the Erasmus Medical Centre, the 'Friends of MKI Foundation' was founded.

The 'Friends of MKI Foundation' is a group of friends that wants to support MKI in realizing their goals: improving the living conditions of the population in developing countries by providing information and education in the field of healthcare. We do so by acquiring income in all kinds of ways and to ensure in this manner a good financial basis for the execution of MKI's projects. A solid financial basis is after all a prerequisite to be able to guarantee the continuity of the work.
